An incident in Noida has recently sparked a lot of outrage after a video of a towing van dragging a car with an elderly couple still in it emerged. The viral footage shows the senior citizens slowly getting off their vehicles and sitting on them as it being towed away from a no parking zone, which is a clear indication of reckless enforcement.
As per the traffic rules, a vehicle cannot be towed if the owner or passengers are in it, even if it has been parked illegally. However, in this case, the rule was broken and this was done recklessly resulting in the Noida traffic police to act quickly. The vehicle was impounded and a case was registered against the employees of the towing contractor who caused the accident.
