The son of the victim, who was murdered in Noida one day earlier by an Audi, said that the police had “deliberately” delayed the inquiry. The police were first hesitant to identify the automobile as an Audi, according to the family of Janak Dev Shah, who was killed in the collision, even though they claimed to have gotten the CCTV footage.
“Our neighbours, who were a short distance behind my father when the accident occurred, provided us with the information. Sandip Shah, Janak Dev Shah’s son, said, “They saw a speeding white Audi sedan hit my father, and he was flung into the air before landing 15–20 feet away.” We were able to view the CCTV footage of the event only after many requests from various places were made.
According to Sandip Shah, until the family produced the CCTV tape and a witness verified it, the police were hesitant to identify the vehicle as an Audi. “Their investigation is really slow; it looks like they are deliberately delaying the process,” he stated.
Recently retired from Prasar Bharati, Janak Dev Shah was struck by a speeding white Audi on Sunday morning when he was on his usual daily stroll to a milk outlet near his Gijhor home in Noida Sector 53.
The police pledged to apprehend the motorist as quickly as possible and that they were looking into the matter thoroughly. “After the occurrence, a lawsuit has been filed. The cops are conducting a comprehensive investigation. The driver will shortly be taken into custody, “said Manish Mishra, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for Noida.
According to an eyewitness, Janak Shah was flung a considerable distance in the air due to the force of the hit. “We trailed the deceased by a short distance. We observed a white Audi striking him at high speed. He was launched several feet into the air, and his corpse fell close to us. The driver of the automobile took off. Geeta Vaishnav, a neighbour and accident witness, stated, “We were so stunned that we couldn’t see the registration number plate.
