“The automated puzzle parking systems will be similar to those developed by the New Delhi Municipal Council,” Lokesh explained. The three planned facilities will be situated in strategically chosen locations, specifically at Savitri Market in Sector 18, Ramleela Maidan in Sector 62, and Sector 124. These areas currently experience heavy traffic and chaotic parking conditions, making them ideal candidates for this innovative solution.
Public-Private Partnership for Efficient Development
To ensure the success of this initiative, the Noida Authority has adopted a public-private partnership (PPP) model for the development of the puzzle parking facilities. This model includes a revenue-sharing arrangement with the selected private partner. Lokesh indicated that the tendering process to find the right private partner will commence within the next two months.
The planning department has also been instructed to address any potential land acquisition issues in the targeted areas. Delays in land acquisition could hinder the project’s timeline, so preemptive measures are being implemented to avoid such complications.
