Friends Taekwondo Academy hosted a spectacular event marking the inauguration of its
Anniversary and Vacation Classes. The academy, known for shaping disciplined and goaloriented youth through Taekwondo, turned the occasion into a grand celebration that blended
tradition, skill, and inspiration.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Sri. P. Prasad, Hon’ble Minister
for Agriculture, Government of Kerala, who officially declared the commencement of the
anniversary programs. In his address, the Minister praised the academy’s dedication to youth
empowerment and underlined the importance of martial arts in building mental strength,
resilience, and discipline among the younger generation.
One of the most thrilling moments of the event was the Self-Defense Demonstration by the
Shaurya Team – Star Command, a specialized unit operating under the District
Administration of Alappuzha. Their energetic and synchronized display drew thunderous
applause from the audience, effectively conveying the necessity of self-defense skills in
today’s world, especially for women and children.
The event began with a warm welcome by Mr. Sudheesh Chandra Bose, Patron of Friends
Taekwondo Academy, who expressed gratitude for the community’s continued support and
highlighted the academy’s journey and milestones. He emphasized the significance of
structured training and the academy’s goal to instill values alongside physical prowess.
Adding to the prestige of the event, Minister Sri. P. Prasad unveiled the Academy’s
Anniversary Logo and launched the Stern Training Program Brochure, an initiative that
reflects the academy’s evolving vision of providing professional, focused, and internationally
competitive training modules to its students.
The stage was shared by distinguished guests, including Mr. Arun G., Inspector of Police,
Cherthala, and Mr. Gibin Babu, CEO of Gray Aiders and Deputy Commander of the Delta
Task Force. Both guests lauded the academy’s efforts in channeling the energy of young
people toward constructive and disciplined pursuits.
As a token of recognition and appreciation, the program also included the distribution of
certificates, scholarships, and mementos to students who had displayed outstanding
dedication and achievements in the field of Taekwondo. These honors not only
acknowledged talent but also motivated other students to pursue excellence.
Closing the ceremony on a note of gratitude and reflection, Mr. Ameer Vayalar,
International Taekwondo Coach and one of the academy’s guiding forces, addressed the
gathering with heartfelt thanks. He acknowledged the tireless efforts of the coaching team,
the unwavering support of parents, and the determination of the students. He reaffirmed the
academy’s mission to go beyond physical training, offering a holistic platform that shapes
character, leadership, and confidence.
The celebration wasn’t just an event—it was a testament to the power of community,
discipline, and vision. As Friends Taekwondo Academy steps into a new chapter with its
Anniversary and Vacation Classes, it continues to serve as a beacon of inspiration and
transformation for youth across the region.
